Select sample of archaeology that embraces from the paleolithic half until the Roman Empire. EGYPTIAN COLLECTION: Formed by a sample of relative objects to the funeral world and Egyptian religious. PAINTING AND SCULPTURE (XIX AND XX CENTURIES): Extensive collection of painting and sculpture of the main Catalan authors of the century XIX XX i. ORNAMENTAL ARTS: Collection of ceramic Catalan from the XV century until the XIX century. NUMISMATIST: Selection of Greek, Roman currencies, íberas and of the crown Catalonian - Aragonese.
The library, gathers of the richest collections of Catalonia. Consists of more than 40. 000 books, recurring periodicals of the XVII century to the XX (almost 2. 000 securities), collections of hand written, engravings, maps, pictures, menus. . . etc.

The Juanita´s is the only fish in the world that has the ability to eat with tablespoon and of drinking with glass wine jar with a long spout.
Inside the museum you can find pieces coming from ships of war and civil that difficultly would see outside of this place.

*GUINOVART BLUE TOWER (TORRE BLAVA)
Ribes Roges Tower in the Ribes Roges Park.

Their history: The Ribes Roges Tower was built in the last third of the XIX century and it this the only one that is in foot of three that it consisted the last fortified enclosure of the Marina of Vilanova. These three towers, that of Ribes Roges,that of the torrent of the Piera and that of Sant Cristòfol was united by a barrier of stakes whose function was to protect the Marina neighborhood of possible attacks for sea or for earth, of carlist troops or of highwaymen.

At the beginning of the XX century they were embedded to the tower a series of dependences enabling it as marine spa and recess place. Among the years sixty and seventy were about to be demolishedtre to lengthen the Marine Avenue. At the present time it has been recently inside " decorated " for the artist Josep Guinovart, that has expressed their particular vision on the Vilanova i la Geltrú town. The first plant is presided over by an impressive installation of strings with all kinds of seafaring knots. |
